STU Medical College Recruits Outstanding Postdoctoral Talent Worldwide
It is reported that the Medical College of Shantou University is recruiting outstanding postdoctoral researchers from home and abroad, offering a talent attraction model combining “salary guarantee + research empowerment + in-station position confirmation” that connects the full career chain from PhD to postdoc to high-level talent.
Positions and Disciplines
Three types of positions are available: regular postdoctoral researchers, teaching-track postdocs (clinical/basic), and innovation-track postdocs. Disciplines cover basic medicine, clinical medicine, pharmacy, biology, public health, nursing, chemistry, and other medical-related interdisciplinary fields.
Applicants should generally be 35 years of age or younger, hold a doctoral degree obtained within the past 3 years, and be able to work full-time as postdoctoral researchers.
Entry Requirements
Different positions have differentiated entry thresholds:

Compensation
During the 2-year appointment, the three position types offer significantly different compensation:
- Regular Postdoc: Annual salary from RMB 360,000
- Teaching-track Postdoc: Annual salary from RMB 480,000
- Innovation-track Postdoc: Annual salary from RMB 600,000
Research output exceeding targets is rewarded additionally with no cap. Title evaluation is available through a special postdoctoral channel. Postdocs engaged in clinical research at affiliated hospitals may simultaneously undergo residency or specialist training. Additionally, postdocs may reside in campus apartments or receive housing subsidies, and enjoy high-level talent services from Shantou city.
Position Confirmation Policy
Outstanding teaching-track and innovation-track postdocs who meet assessment criteria during their appointment may pre-sign a position confirmation agreement and enter teaching/research positions or clinical/specialized research roles at the Medical College after completion.
