College of Engineering to Launch Youth Companion Volunteer Service in Longteng Subdistrict
It is reported that the Youth League Committee of the Shantou University College of Engineering, together with the Youth League Working Committee of Longteng Subdistrict in Longhu District, will carry out a volunteer service program from July 20 to 31, 2026, providing summer companionship and support for youth students in the Longteng Subdistrict area.
The program responds to the “Communist Youth League - Companion Plan” initiative, aiming to support the growth of youth students and deepen collaboration between the university and the local community. It is jointly organized by the College of Engineering Youth League Committee and the Longteng Subdistrict Youth League Working Committee, undertaken by the STU “Safety for Children” Task Force, and held at the Party-Mass Service Center of Longteng Subdistrict, Longhu District, Shantou.

During the program, the task force will adopt an innovative model combining “knowledge lectures + course tutoring,” delivering modules such as lectures on “Engineering Practice and Building a Strong Nation through Science and Technology,” holiday safety science talks, and interesting science outreach, while assisting youth students with academic guidance and support so they can gain knowledge and grow through both study and activities.
