STU Forwards Provincial 2026 'Aspire, Cultivate, Learn, Serve the Nation' Theme Education Program

It is reported that the Shantou University Student Affairs Office has forwarded a notice from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, launching the 2026 “Aspire, Cultivate, Learn, Serve the Nation” theme education program across the university’s colleges and residential colleges to guide young students in studying and putting into practice the Party’s theoretical innovations.

The program, initiated by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, aims to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important discussions on ideological and political work in higher education and to advance the “New Era Moral Education Soul-Casting Project.” Timed to major commemorations including the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Party and the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March, it seeks to guide young students to reflect on the Party’s century-long history, appreciate the great transformations of the new era and the “15th Five-Year Plan” blueprint, and grow into fine young people of the new era with ideals, a sense of responsibility, and a willingness to endure hardship and strive.

Project Categories

The program comprises seven categories: social practice documentary, storytelling and recitation, song performance, theme photography, public service advertising, stage drama, and educational micro-lessons. First, second, and third prizes will be awarded for each category, along with Outstanding Organization awards, and selected outstanding works will be recommended for the National College Students’ Online Culture Festival and the national exhibition of outstanding online education works from universities.

Submission Requirements

Entries must be politically correct and consistent with the core socialist values, must be original works independently created by faculty or students with no intellectual property disputes, and plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Works from previous editions or those resembling previous entries in concept will not be considered, and no submissions will be returned. The organizers hold the rights of online dissemination, adaptation, compilation, and exhibition/publication of the works.

How to Submit

Units are to widely mobilize students to create works during the summer break and to handle registration, recommendation, and review. Submission materials should be categorized by project and stored on a USB drive, with folders named “X College + Project Category” and each work named “Project Category + Author + Work Title.” The USB drive must be delivered to the Ideological Education Section of the Student Affairs Office (Room 223, Administrative Center, Sangpushan Campus; tel. 86502254) by September 1, 2026, with electronic copies emailed to the designated address under the subject “X College + Aspire, Cultivate, Learn, Serve the Nation.” Late submissions will not be processed.
