University Hospital Releases Mosquito-borne Disease Prevention Knowledge, Calls for Patriotic Health Campaign
According to the Resource Management Department at Shantou University, the hot and rainy summer weather has ushered in the peak breeding season for mosquitoes. These insects not only disrupt daily campus life but also pose risks of transmitting diseases such as dengue fever and chikungunya. To strengthen the campus public health defense, the University Hospital has compiled scientific knowledge and specific prevention measures covering eliminating standing water, cleaning environments, strengthening personal protection, and early intervention. All faculty and students are encouraged to take action and join the fight against mosquito breeding.
