Language Self-Study Center 2.0 Launches Six New AI Agents for Smart Language Learning
According to the College of Liberal Arts at Shantou University, to advance the national education digitalization strategy and implement the Comprehensive Reform Plan for Shantou University (2025-2027), the AI agent group of the “Language Self-Study Center 2.0” smart language practice platform has completed a new round of upgrades.
The platform initially launched via “Changjiang Rain Classroom,” equipped with a 24-hour “AI + CILL” intelligent learning companion and multiple foundational study agents covering oral practice, writing tutoring, study planning, and resource queries.
This upgrade introduces six new specialized agents:

The expansion extends services to IELTS preparation, CET-6 exam prep, full-English interview practice, academic critical writing, and legal English, forming a more complete language learning support system alongside the original agents.
All full-time undergraduate students at STU (excluding the Medical College for now) have been enrolled in the platform’s exclusive class. Students can log in via the “Changjiang Rain Classroom” WeChat Official Account, select the “Courses” section, and find “Language Self-Study Center 2.0” to begin self-directed learning anytime, anywhere. The platform is free and accessible around the clock.
