China Postdoctoral Science Foundation 80th Batch General Funding Opens for Applications

The China Postdoctoral Science Foundation has launched the 80th batch of general funding applications, and STU’s Research Office has issued the relevant notice.

Funding and Eligibility

• Natural sciences: 80,000 yuan; Social sciences: 50,000 yuan
• Male postdocs may apply within 18 months of entry; female postdocs within 24 months
• Each person can receive funding only once per station
• In-service postdocs (except active military) are not eligible

Application Process

1. Log into the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Management System after August 1, 2026 using your account
2. Complete online submission by August 24, and notify the Research Office’s Science Project and Platform Section by email for formal review
3. Submit one printed copy of the application by September 4 after passing the formal review

Important Notes

• Under “科研成果和奖励” in the Personal Info section, list up to 5 items (papers, monographs, patents, awards, etc.)
• The Project Info section (except “研究基础”) must not contain personal information — including the applicant’s name, institution, or supervisor’s name — or it will be scored 0
• Funded成果 must acknowledge “中国博士后科学基金资助项目” (Supported by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation under Grant Number XX)
