Language Self-Access Center Recruits IELTS Speaking Buddies for Fall 2026

It is reported that the Language Self-Access Center (CILL) is recruiting tutors for its IELTS Speaking Buddy service for the 2026-2027 Fall semester. The service aims to provide personalized IELTS speaking diagnosis and mock practice for fellow students.

Position Details

Tutors are required to conduct one 2-hour IELTS speaking tutoring session per week at CILL (Sangpushan Campus), including one-on-one mock practice, test-taking tips, and personalized learning advice. Compensation follows the university’s work-study standards and is paid monthly. Tutors who successfully complete one semester of service will receive an official certificate from CILL.

Eligibility

Applicants who meet any of the following criteria are welcome:

  • Scored 6 or above on the IELTS speaking section in recent years
  • English major with TEM-4 “Excellent” or TEM-8 “Good” or higher
  • Previously reached the provincial or national stage of the “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” or “Understanding Contemporary China” national foreign language proficiency competition
