Changjiang Scholar Prof. Shi Zhaoyao to Lecture on Humanoid Robot Joint Technology at STU
The College of Engineering and the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing Technology (MOE) will host the 800th Engineering Research Forum on July 3, 2026 (Friday) at 14:30 in Room 521, Science Building.
The forum features Prof. Shi Zhaoyao, a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor from Beijing University of Technology, who will deliver a talk titled “Current Status, Common Challenges, and Industrial Breakthroughs of Humanoid Robot Joint Technology.”
About the Speaker
Prof. Shi Zhaoyao is a professor at the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Beijing University of Technology, a Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor (2011), and a State Council Special Allowance Expert (2014). He serves on the National Industrial Foundation Expert Committee, ISO/TC60 (Gears), and numerous other national and international technical committees. He has made significant contributions to precision transmission, precision reducers, and robot joint technologies, solving several critical technical bottlenecks. He has received two National Science and Technology Progress Awards (Second Class), one Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (First Class), led the development of 8 national standards, and holds 126 invention patents with nearly 200 published papers and 5 monographs.
All faculty and students from the Mechanical Engineering Department, as well as interested members from across the university, are welcome to attend.
