Engineering Research Forum: Associate Prof. Wang Jiaqi on Marine Environment Sensing, Simulation and Energy Utilization
It is reported that the College of Engineering will host the 799th session of the Engineering Research Academic Forum, featuring Associate Professor Wang Jiaqi from Sun Yat-sen University, who will speak on marine environment sensing, simulation, and energy utilization.

Abstract
Dr. Wang will present research progress in three areas: intelligent marine environment sensing using triboelectric nanogenerator technology for integrated energy-information multi-element detection; multi-environment simulation platform empowered by integrated “opto-mechanical-electrical-computing” technology; and a recently developed rope-driven triboelectric-electromagnetic hybrid power generation system for ocean energy.
About the Speaker
Dr. Wang Jiaqi is an Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor at Sun Yat-sen University, and Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Product Environmental Adaptability. He received his B.S. from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and his Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, followed by postdoctoral research at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on intelligent instruments, optoelectronic detection, and energy harvesting systems. He has published 16 SCI papers as first/corresponding author in journals including Science Advances, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Science, and holds 9 patents (6 granted).
