Academician Shi Caijun to Speak at the 65th Changjiang Lecture Hall

It is reported that Professor Shi Caijun, Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering from Hunan University, has been invited to speak at the 65th session of the Changjiang Lecture Hall. His talk is titled Advances in Carbon Mineralization for the Production of Low-Carbon/Negative-Carbon Building Materials and Products.

About the Speaker

Professor Shi Caijun is a faculty member at the College of Civil Engineering, Hunan University. In 2025, he was elected as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and a Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. His research covers cement and concrete material design and application, concrete durability design, solid waste resource utilization, intelligent self-healing leak-proof materials, green building materials, and sustainable development. He has published over 640 academic papers and 14 books in Chinese and English. According to Stanford University’s global science impact rankings, Professor Shi ranked first in the world in the building and construction category for 2024 and second in lifetime impact (1969–2024). He was elected Fellow of the International Energy Association (2001), the American Concrete Institute (2007), the International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials (2016), and the Asian Concrete Federation (2023).
