The Guangdong Key Laboratory of Marine Biotechnology invites Professor Cheng Pengfei from Ningbo University, ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists for 2024–2025, to deliver an academic lecture.

Highlights
Guided by the One Health concept, the talk covers: mutagenesis techniques (space microgravity, plasma, high ammonia stress) for stress-tolerant, high-yield algae strains; photobioreactor development for livestock and aquaculture wastewater treatment; and bioactive compounds from Chlorella, Phaeodactylum, and Botryococcus for pharmaceutical, functional food, and biofertilizer applications.
About the Speaker
Professor Cheng Pengfei has led over 10 national and provincial research projects, published 50+ papers in journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal and Bioresource Technology, and guided student teams to a gold medal at the China International College Student “Internet+” Innovation Competition.
