School of Marxism Releases Ideological Course Registration Guidelines

The School of Marxism has released registration guidelines for required ideological and political theory courses, noting different requirements for the 2023 cohort versus the 2024 and 2025 cohorts.

2023 Cohort Required Courses

Ideology and Morality (3 cr), Modern Chinese History (3 cr including 1 cr practice), Marxist Principles (3 cr), Mao Zedong Thought (3 cr including 1 cr practice), Xi Jinping Thought (3 cr), Current Affairs (2 cr), Party History (1 cr)

2024–2025 Cohort Required Courses

Ideology and Morality (3 cr), Modern Chinese History (3 cr), Marxist Principles (2 cr), Mao Zedong Thought (3 cr, from year 2), Xi Jinping Thought (3 cr), Current Affairs (1 cr), Party History (1 cr), Comprehensive Practice (1 cr each)

Overseas students are exempted from ideological courses. If classes are full, students should choose alternative sections rather than requesting additional seats.
