2027 Guangdong Overseas Distinguished Experts Project Opens for Applications
The Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology has launched the 2027 Overseas Distinguished Experts Project, supporting universities and institutions to invite overseas experts for short-term exchanges in science, education, and humanities.
Funding
- Experts from abroad or Taiwan: 50,000 yuan per project
- Experts from Hong Kong or Macau: 30,000 yuan per project
Priority Areas
Integrated circuits, AI, quantum technology, biotechnology, new energy, and humanities/social sciences.
Requirements
Overseas experts should hold associate professor or equivalent positions at recognized institutions. Maximum 10 projects per institution per year.
Timeline
Online registration opens July 24, 2026 via the Guangdong Science Business Management platform. Signed documents due by August 12. Project period: January 1 to November 30, 2027.
