Associate Professor Fu Wenwei from SUST to Give Lecture on High-Altitude Steel Corridor Comfort Assessment
The College of Engineering has invited Associate Professor Fu Wenwei from Suzhou University of Science and Technology (SUST) to give an academic lecture.
Topic: Comfort Assessment of High-Altitude Steel Corridors Considering Wind-Human-Structure Interaction
Time: June 27 (Saturday), 9:30–11:30
Venue: Civil Engineering Conference Room (Engineering East 301)
Abstract: The lecture focuses on vibration comfort of long-span high-altitude steel corridors under wind-human-structure coupling, including refined pedestrian load models, combined numerical and physical wind tunnel methods, and a comprehensive comfort assessment framework validated by field dynamic tests at Suzhou Cultural and Expo Center.
About the Speaker: Fu Wenwei is an associate professor and master’s supervisor at SUST. His research covers health monitoring and condition assessment of large infrastructure. He has led NSFC projects and contributed to major projects including Beijing National Stadium, National Speed Skating Oval, and Beijing Daxing International Airport. He has received multiple awards including the Special Prize of the China Steel Construction Society Science and Technology Award.
