College of Engineering and Jingyi College to Hold 2026 Summer Painting Exhibition
It is reported that to deepen the integration of curriculum ideology and art education, promote excellent traditional Chinese culture, and enhance students’ aesthetic literacy and creative abilities, Shantou University’s College of Engineering and Jingyi College will jointly hold the 2026 Summer Painting Exhibition from June 24 to 30.
Exhibition Content
This exhibition is divided into three parts, displayed simultaneously at the Sangpu Mountain Campus and the East Coast Campus:
“Ink Rhyme of Curriculum Ideology, Educating through Aesthetics” Chinese Painting Exhibition at Sangpu Mountain Campus will showcase 25 small-scale flower-and-bird painting copies and works in styles including line drawing, ink wash, and freehand brushwork, demonstrating the charm of traditional Chinese painting art.
“University Sketches, Watercolor Journal” Watercolor Exhibition at Sangpu Mountain Campus will display 48 watercolor journal works covering topics such as STU daily logs, Chaoshan intangible cultural heritage, marine themes, and cultural artifact case studies, recording campus life and Chaoshan culture.
“University Sketches, Watercolor Journal” Watercolor Exhibition at East Coast Campus will feature 74 watercolor journal works including STU daily logs, Chaoshan cuisine, revolutionary historical architecture, marine animals, and cultural artifact research, showcasing diverse artistic creation themes.

Educational Significance
This exhibition is an important initiative for the College of Engineering and Jingyi College to promote the “Orange Collaborative Education” construction, demonstrating the achievements of collaborative education between the two colleges. By integrating curriculum ideology with art education, the exhibition not only provides a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents but also promotes the inheritance and development of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
