"Seal China" Seal Carving Competition Launches on Campus

It is reported that the Student Affairs Office, along with CKJ School of Art and Design, Dexin College, and the “Virtue and Art” Network Culture Studio, is hosting the campus selection for the 2026 “Seal China” seal carving competition under the theme “Carrying Forward the Cultural Legacy, Illuminating China with Classics.”

Categories

The competition features manual carving and machine carving categories, each with university student and teacher groups. All STU students and faculty are eligible.

Requirements

Entries must be newly created in 2026 using Chinese characters. New materials beyond traditional stone are encouraged. Each participant may submit only one entry, choosing between manual or machine carving.

Seal mounting screens must measure 138cm×34cm in vertical format, with 6–8 seal impressions and at least two side inscriptions.

Schedule

Participants must complete an online assessment by July 17, scoring 60 or above to qualify. Electronic materials including seal screen photos must be submitted to o_ystw@stu.edu.cn by 5:30 PM on July 10.

Awards

First, second, and third prizes will be awarded in both categories, with certificates of honor.
