It is reported that the School of Marxism is piloting an AI-assisted online final exam for the course “Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” in the 2025-2026 spring semester.

Exam Details

The exam will be held on the Rain Classroom platform from June 29 to July 3, with a 120-minute time limit. Students must use a computer with a stable internet connection.

AI Tool Policy

Students may use the course-customized “Smart Learning Companion” AI tool to look up concepts, organize their ideas, and check for gaps. However, it is strictly prohibited to ask for direct answers, copy-paste AI-generated content, or use AI to produce entire passages without personal transformation.

Grading

Evaluation shifts from result-only to a “process + result” model. Direct copying of AI responses without analysis will result in a zero score for that question. Highly similar dialogue logs will be treated as cheating. To achieve high scores, students must demonstrate independent thinking, pose valuable questions to the AI, and critically assimilate AI feedback.

Discipline Requirements

Although the exam is conducted remotely, discipline standards are equally as strict as offline exams. The system will fully record and sample-check login IP addresses, answer behavior, and dialogue data throughout the process.
