Zheng Jieren Piano Solo Concert to Be Held on June 25

It is reported that the Art Education Center and Shude College will jointly present the Zheng Jieren Piano Solo Concert on June 25 at 19:30 in the Shude College Multi-function Hall, as part of the 2026 Mountain Sea Music Festival spring series. No tickets are required; audience members are welcome to arrive 30 minutes early.

The program features works by Grieg, Chopin, Liszt, and Tchaikovsky, spanning pastoral charm, romantic nocturnes, and deeply expressive compositions.

About the Performer

Zheng Jieren holds a Doctor of Piano Performance degree and is a faculty member at the STU Art Education Center. He was admitted to the Ural State Conservatory in Russia in 2014, studying piano performance under Professor Pankova, Chair of the Piano Department and People’s Artist of Russia, and Professor Antaras, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. He also studied piano pedagogy under Associate Professor Glagolev, Chair of the Piano Education Department. He graduated with perfect scores in 2021, earning a Concert Performer diploma and a Teaching Specialist certificate, and again with perfect scores in 2023, obtaining Russia’s highest degree in performing arts — a Doctor of Piano Performance and the highest-level Artist diploma.

During his studies, Zheng performed in nearly 200 piano solo, chamber music, and vocal concerts across more than 10 Russian cities. In 2014, he was invited by the Nizhny Tagil government to tour with solo concerts in Perm, Tyumen, and other cities. He participated in the first China-Russia International Music Festival in 2022 as a piano accompanist for vocal opera, and was invited again in 2023 for the second festival, where he performed the Yellow River Piano Concerto with the Ural Conservatory Symphony Orchestra as the Chinese representative at the closing ceremony.
