'Thousands of Teams' Mandarin Promotion Summer Program Launches, STU to Select 10 Teams
It is reported that the Ministry of Education’s Language Application Management Department and the Communist Youth League Central Committee have jointly launched the “Thousands of Teams, Millions of People” National Mandarin Promotion Summer Social Practice Program. The STU Youth League Committee will select 10 teams.
Activities
The program focuses on promoting standard Chinese, with two required modules — language survey and legal awareness — and optional modules including language culture, digital empowerment, and vocational skills. Each team must choose at least one optional module.
Requirements
- Teams of 8–12 members, all with Mandarin proficiency at Level 2A or equivalent
- Practice lasting at least 7 days during July–August 2026
- Contact the practice location in advance
- Preference given to teams with members fluent in both Mandarin and minority languages, or with established partnerships
