'Toward the Ocean' Practice Course Opens Recruitment for Fall 2026

It is reported that the national first-class course “Toward the Ocean” has opened recruitment for the 2026-2027 fall semester, offering three classes of 40 students each.

Course Content

Students will explore the Su’ai Bay mangrove forest, Mayu Island biodiversity, Nan’ao Island, and Fujian’s Dongshan Island, conducting marine ecology surveys, beach cleanups, and fisherman education.

Schedule Options

• Sangpu Campus: Wednesday evening lectures (5 sessions) + 5-day fieldwork
• East Coast Campus: Wednesday evening lectures (5 sessions) + 5-day fieldwork
• Practice Week: September 7–19 (Sangpu Campus)

Registration opens June 15 at 12:00 via the “走向海洋” WeChat account. Successful completion earns 2 college practice credits.
