It is reported that the Mathematics Postdoctoral Research Station will hold Dr. Yi Qian’s postdoctoral exit report on June 18 at 9:30 at East Coast Campus D-209.

Abstract

The report addresses numerical models for two types of nonlocal PDEs: a fourth-order compact difference scheme for fractional convection equations with second-order in time and fourth-order in space accuracy, and a time-splitting Fourier pseudospectral method for the Wigner(-Poisson)-Fokker-Planck equation achieving spectral accuracy in space.

About the Speaker

Dr. Yi Qian graduated from Shanghai University and currently works at Guangxi Normal University. She began her postdoctoral research at the Department of Mathematics in August 2024, supervised by Professor Wen Zhitao.
