2026 MOE Humanities and Social Sciences General Project Applications Open

It is reported that the MOE Social Science Department has opened applications for the 2026 Humanities and Social Sciences General Projects, covering 29 disciplines including Marxist theory, law, and education.

Categories and Funding

• Planning Fund: up to 100,000 yuan
• Youth Fund: up to 80,000 yuan
• Special task projects (separate notices)

All projects have a 3-year research period.

Requirements

• Planning Fund: senior title or PhD
• Youth Fund: under 40 (born after July 12, 1986)
• Not eligible if currently leading an active MOE, NSFC, or NSSFC project

STU Timeline

• Jun 24: Submit college evaluation list to o_wkb@stu.edu.cn
• Jun 29: Format review
• Jun 30: Upload to application system
