Shantou Science and Technology Bureau Seeks Guideline Suggestions for 2026-2027 Project Applications

It is reported that the Shantou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau is soliciting suggestions for project application guidelines for the 2026-2027 program from enterprises, private non-profit organizations, universities, and research institutes within the city. Suggestions should address key bottlenecks in industrial chains, focus on industrial innovation and development needs, and strengthen market orientation and application demonstration.

Five categories of suggestions are sought:

Science and Technology Innovation PlatformsConstruction of provincial key laboratories and new R&D institutions to gather innovation resources and talent
Innovation CollaborationLinkage with the Greater Bay Area innovation platforms and major scientific infrastructure, promoting resource sharing, platform co-building, and joint achievement transformation
Innovation Service CapacityR&D in healthcare, ecological environment, and public safety; scientific strategy research, innovation statistics, and technology management services
Tech-Driven AgricultureAgricultural technology R&D, application and promotion of advanced technologies, achievement transfer, supporting rural revitalization

Suggested content includes implementation details, expected objectives, proposed duration, rationale, lists of relevant institutions and enterprises in the province and nationwide, jointly recommending entities, and leading domestic experts in the field.

Submissions are due by June 18, 2026, via the Shantou Sunshine Government Platform (http://xm.gdstc.gd.gov.cn/st).
