Event Schedule
To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Red Army’s Long March, the STU Youth League Committee, in partnership with the Shantou Municipal Youth League Committee, continues the “Long March Spirit Torch Relay” lecture series. Sessions 5 and 6 will bring Long March-themed educational activities to local middle schools.
Session 5 will be held on June 17 (Wednesday), 16:15–17:30 at Yu Huai Middle School (Waima Campus), targeting Grade 7 students.
Session 6 will take place on June 18 (Thursday), 16:00–17:30 at Huafu Haojiang Experimental School Affiliated to South China Normal University.
Lecture Content
The lectures center on the Long March spirit, drawing on the outcomes of STU’s “Retrace the Long March” immersive practice program, which has been running since 2021. Faculty and students who have participated in the program form the lecture group, using a combination of experience sharing and spiritual interpretation to engage middle school students in red culture education and reflection on the contemporary relevance of the Long March spirit.
