Event Overview
On the evening of June 11, the STU School of Law, in collaboration with the Shantou Lawyers Association, hosted a debate competition at the East Coast Campus (E-105 Lecture Hall), drawing students and faculty to observe.
The debate centered on the motion: “In the AI era, does a young lawyer’s uniqueness come more from ‘mastery of technology’ or ‘understanding of humanity’?” The Shantou Lawyers Association Debate Team (proposition) and the STU Law Debate Association (opposition) engaged in a spirited exchange on the opportunities and challenges facing the legal profession in the age of artificial intelligence.
