2026 National Social Science Fund Major Project Topic Solicitation Now Open
It is reported that the 2026 National Social Science Fund (NSSF) Major Project topic solicitation has commenced. The topic solicitation will be conducted via the NSSF Research Innovation Service Management Platform, with the system opening at midnight on June 12 and closing at 17:00 on June 19.
Recommenders may log into the National Social Science Work Office website and enter the “Topic Solicitation” module under “Management Platform” (https://xm.npopss-cn.gov.cn/translateTopicAction!to_login.action) to submit a registration application with real-name information. Those with existing platform accounts do not need to re-register. STU recommenders must log into the system and upload their topic recommendation form by June 15; late submissions will not be accepted.
Topics must adhere to the correct political direction and focus on strategic issues related to the overall work of the Party and the nation, as well as major theoretical and practical issues in Chinese-style modernization. Researchers currently leading NSSF projects or MOE major research projects are not eligible to serve as chief experts.
