It is reported that, to strengthen laboratory safety management, the Resource Management Office has issued a notice requiring all relevant colleges to ensure proper handover of leftover chemicals from 2026 graduating students.

Graduating master’s and bachelor’s students must transfer all chemicals in their possession — including purchased, self-prepared, and synthesized reagents as well as lab waste liquids — along with related containers to their lab supervisor or a person designated by their advisor before leaving the university. College leadership, lab supervisors, and advisors are required to oversee the process. Both the transferor and recipient must carefully inventory the types and quantities of chemicals. Containers with missing or illegible labels must be re-labeled, and used empty bottles must be properly disposed of.
