Riyuekeng Reservoir Landscape Platform Renovation at Sangpu Campus

The landscape platform on the south side of Riyuekeng (Sun Moon Lake) Reservoir at Sangpu Campus has sustained significant damage to its wooden deck and railings over years of use, posing safety risks. The area has been cordoned off with warning signs.

To eliminate hazards, the university will carry out repairs including removal of the existing wooden deck and railings, installation of stone flooring, and stainless steel glass railings. The project, undertaken by Guangdong New East Construction Co., is scheduled to begin June 5 and finish by end of June.

During construction, platform guardrails will be removed. Pedestrians are advised to heed warning signs and stay clear of reservoir steps, the platform, and other construction zones.
