College of Engineering Visits Shenzhen and Foshan for Enterprise-University Cooperation

Overview

From May 28 to 30, a delegation from STU’s College of Engineering led by Party Secretary Lu Zhuobin conducted a special enterprise visit initiative in Shenzhen and Foshan, joined by professors Bao Nengsheng, Ye Weilin, and counselors Xiao Yingjie and Yu Yijing.

Itinerary

Shenzhen University (Lihu Campus) — The delegation met with the College of Biomedical Engineering, exchanging views on engineering practice training, interdisciplinary integration, and industry-academia collaboration.

Shenzhen Xinxinteng Technology Co., Ltd. — Visited R&D and production facilities, discussed AI algorithm development and industrial robotics with Chairman Zheng Guorong. Signed an internship base agreement and held the plaque-awarding ceremony.

Guangdong Esquel Textile Co., Ltd. (Foshan) — Explore the international textile innovation park model and smart manufacturing practices. Discussed equipment development, robotics applications, and joint R&D.

Alumni Symposium — Alumni shared career experiences and offered suggestions for talent cultivation and career guidance.

The delegation also visited other tech companies to explore “engineers on campus” and “faculty/students in residence” models.

Significance

The initiative represents the College of Engineering’s proactive effort to align with local industry needs and deepen industry-education integration, paving the way for quality employment and collaborative talent development.
