STU Announces 2026 Summer Vacation Schedule
Schedule Overview
The Party and Administrative Office has issued the 2026 summer vacation notice (Document No. 2026-02), based on the semester system adjustment notice (Document No. 2026-129) and the academic calendar.

Faculty & Staff
- Faculty with practical term duties: Begin break after course completion; must finish grade submission first
- Other faculty: Begin break July 4 (Saturday)
- All faculty: Return to campus Sept 4 (Friday) for preparations, teaching research activities, and new-student course advising
- Colleges and departments should arrange social practice activities for students not enrolled in courses
- Graduate advisors to arrange teaching, research, and practice activities per training plans
Safety Education
Colleges, residential colleges, and relevant departments must provide pre-vacation safety education, especially concerning personal and property safety.
Administrative & Support Staff Arrangements
Based on STU’s standing policy (Document 2009-08):
- Rotation period: July 6 – September 3, with units arranging duty rosters based on workload
- Summer work hours (July 4 – September 3): 8:30–11:30 AM and 3:00–5:00 PM
- Rotating staff must remain reachable and report to duty as needed
- Normal hours resume September 4
Each unit must submit its summer duty schedule (names, office numbers, office and mobile phones) by end of workday June 22 to the Party and Administrative Office (email: o_jdk@stu.edu.cn, tel: 86502877).
