Document Release
The STU Semester Adjustment Plan (Document No. 2026-129), approved at the 12th President’s Office Meeting on May 13, 2026, has been formally issued for implementation across all units.
Key Changes
As reflected in the recently published summer vacation schedule, the adjustment introduces a Practice Week (short semester) mechanism, dividing students into two tracks:
- Students enrolled in practice-term courses: Shortened summer break (July 18 – Sept 5), earlier fall semester start (registration Sept 6, classes Sept 7)
- Other students: Summer break on original schedule (July 4 – Sept 5), fall semester follows later (registration Sept 19, classes Sept 20)
The revised semester framework is being implemented concurrently for both incoming 2026 students and continuing cohorts.
