Faculty of Engineering and Jingyi College Launch 2nd "Building Body, Growing Together" Sports Volunteer Activity

Overview

According to the Faculty of Engineering, on May 23, the second session of the “Building Body, Growing Together” sports development volunteer program, jointly organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Jingyi College, was held at the Jicheng Community Residents’ Committee in Dahua Street, Jinping District. The activity was designed for local youth, aiming to cultivate sports literacy, build teamwork, and promote physical fitness and character development through fun and interactive experiences.

Activity Content

Four segments were arranged for the event:

“Agile Chameleon”: Using colorful marker discs for interactive exercises, this segment trained children’s reaction speed, body coordination, and concentration.

“Collaborative Blind Box Race”: Featuring tasks such as high-knee running, jump rope, kangaroo jumps, and frog jumps, children competed in teams and learned communication and collaboration while racing through challenges.

“Dodgeball”: Children alternated between offense and defense, developing rule awareness and gaining courage and growth through competition.

“Bullseye Throwing Competition”: Children took turns throwing in a competitive format, earning recognition for their efforts.

Significance

The “Building Body, Growing Together” sports development volunteer activity combined fun, education, and practice, integrating physical activity, play, and personal growth. It fostered collaboration and development among participating youth.
