"Role Model" Series: Nursing Graduate Student Lin K. — Ambition Illuminates the Path of Care

The STU Medical College has launched a “Role Model” series showcasing outstanding students. This edition features Lin K., a 2023 master’s student in nursing and a CPC member, supervised by Professor Lin Ni Yang and Chief Nurse Zhang Hong. Lin has excelled in research, student leadership, and volunteer service.
Research Achievements
Lin’s research focuses on smart nursing and transitional care, particularly in preterm infant home care, digital health interventions, and intelligent nursing. She has published five papers, including two as first author in JCR Q1 and Q2 journals, and holds one national utility patent. She serves as a principal investigator on multiple provincial-level projects.
Lin has presented at international conferences including the 2024 EPMA Congress and the 14th Hong Kong International Nursing Forum, and was selected by the Medical College to attend the 32nd ISCOMS at the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
Leadership and Service
Lin served as Deputy Secretary of the Graduate Party Branch, class monitor, and graduate student union member, serving over 500 students. She has accumulated over 210 volunteer hours through nursing home care and rural clinic services, and has integrated Party-building with nursing practice to engage fellow Party members in grassroots volunteering.
Interdisciplinary Innovation
Lin led interdisciplinary projects involving nursing, computer science, and AI teams, and guided undergraduate students in winning provincial-level innovation project funding and a “Challenge Cup” second prize.
