About the Speaker

Researcher Ju Peng is a doctoral supervisor and Youth League secretary at the First Institute of Oceanography, MNR. He is a recipient of the Shandong NSFC Distinguished Young Scholar Fund, a Taishan Scholar, and has been listed among the world’s top 2% scientists (Stanford University/Elsevier). His research focuses on marine bioresource utilization and environmental pollution monitoring. He has led 35 research projects, published 97 SCI papers in journals including Science Advances, and holds 15 patents.

Abstract

The lecture systematically introduces the definition, classification, core properties, and applications of marine functional materials in the context of marine environmental monitoring, pollution control, and engineering protection. It also analyzes China’s development gaps and proposes pathways for independent innovation and industrial application.
