Journalism School Holds 20th Student Congress

Overview

On May 23, the Cheung Kong School of Journalism and Communication held its 20th Student Congress at Teaching Building E, Room 220, Donghai’an Campus. Party Deputy Secretary Hong Mengdian, Youth League Deputy Secretary Zhu Huibin, the 19th Student Union presidium, and 40 student representatives attended.

Proceedings

The preparatory meeting reviewed the preparation report, representative qualification report, agenda, and secretariat membership.

Student Zheng L., chair of the 19th Student Union, delivered a work report summarizing achievements in ideological guidance, student services, and brand building over the past year.

Through secret ballot and competitive election, the congress elected the 20th Student Union Committee and a new presidium member.

Address

Deputy Secretary Hong Mengdian outlined three expectations for the new student union: strengthen ideological foundations, serve fellow students with dedication, and empower both the organization and individuals to create quality brand activities.

The newly elected presidium member pledged to uphold the service-oriented mission, strengthen team building, and innovate while continuing legacy programs.
