"Youth Is for Reading" — 2026 STU Graduate Book Review Competition Launches

Overview

The Graduate Affairs Office and the Youth League Committee, hosted by the STU Graduate Student Union, have launched the “Youth Is for Reading” — 2026 Graduate Book Review Competition.

Participants: All graduate students

Timeline:

  • Submission: May 25–29
  • Judging: May 29 – June 1
  • Offline sharing & awards: June 3

Requirements

Choose books from five categories: Party theory, Chinese traditional culture, revolutionary classics, tech frontiers, and literary works. Write 300–500 word reviews. One entry per person.

Judging

  • Preliminary screening, then online voting (30%) + expert review (70%)
  • Scoring criteria: content value, writing quality, emotional authenticity
