6th Psychology of Language Learning Conference (PLL6) Concludes at STU

Overview

From May 20-24, the 6th Psychology of Language Learning Conference (PLL6), hosted by IAPLL and organized by STU’s College of Arts, was held successfully. It was the first time this international academic event was held in China, attracting 350+ scholars from 150+ universities.

Highlights

The conference opened with a Chaoshan Yingge dance performance. Seven keynote speeches were delivered by leading scholars including Sarah Mercer, Jean-Marc Dewaele, Shaofeng Li, Mirosław Pawlak, Lawrence Jun Zhang, Chengchen Li, and Jian’e Peng.

Over 200 parallel sessions and poster presentations covered learner/teacher emotions, motivation, well-being, and AI in education. A journal editors’ roundtable supported academic publishing.

The next PLL conference will be held at Tallinn University, Estonia in 2028.
