STU Medical College has launched a “Power of Example” series to showcase outstanding students. The latest feature highlights Student Ji Z., a 2023 master’s student in Pathology and Pathophysiology under the supervision of Professor Su Zhongjing, who has excelled in research, party building, and science communication.

Research Achievements

Student Ji’s research focuses on estrogen and immune regulation. She has published 6 SCI papers during her master’s studies and received third prize at the 12th Research Day poster presentation.

Party Building Contributions

As Vice Secretary of the First Graduate Student Party Branch, Student Ji standardized the implementation of party meetings, themed party days, and optimized the membership development process. Under her leadership, the branch was recognized as a 2025 STU “Advanced Primary Party Organization”, and she was named an “Outstanding Communist Party Member”.

Science Outreach

Student Ji actively participates in science popularization, translating complex专业知识 into accessible content. She won first place at the Shantou City Science Popularization Competition and third prize at the Guangdong Provincial Science Popularization Competition.
