Engineering College and Shantou Survey & Design Association Sign Party Building and Industry-Education Partnership

Overview

On the afternoon of May 20, Engineering College Party Secretary Lu Zhuobin led a delegation to the Shantou Survey & Design Consulting Association for a party building partnership signing and industry-education practice base inauguration ceremony. The event was hosted by Association Secretary-General Jin Ling, with representatives from the association, the college, and affiliated companies in attendance.

Party Building Agreement

Chen Haoran, Party Branch Secretary of the association, presented the branch’s achievements in theoretical study, red education, and joint learning initiatives. Lu Zhuobin noted that the college consistently leverages high-quality party building to drive overall development, and that this partnership creates an important platform for deeper collaboration through resource sharing and complementary strengths.

The two parties formally signed a Party Building Cooperation Agreement and exchanged plaques, establishing常态化 cooperation in organizational co-building, joint theoretical study, resource sharing, collaborative talent development, and mutual growth promotion.

Industry-Education Practice Base

The two sides then signed an industry-education practice base agreement and held a plaque unveiling ceremony. Zheng Weixiong, General Manager of Shantou Tianyou Architectural Design Consulting Co., expressed hope that the base would serve as a platform for university-enterprise collaborative education. Professor Jiang Guoyi from the college noted that the Civil Engineering Department has built a complete talent pipeline from undergraduate through postdoctoral levels and aims to strengthen cooperation with local enterprises to provide students with more hands-on engineering experience.

Deepening Cooperation

During discussions, both sides exchanged views on student internships, talent development, urban renewal, and Chaoshan traditional architecture preservation. Associate Professor Zhang Cuina introduced the Architecture program and shared the team’s research in the Small Park district, Chaoshan traditional buildings, rural planning, and digital technology applications. Association President Xu Lu described the partnership as both a milestone and a new starting point, calling for joint efforts to serve Shantou’s urban development and industry growth.
