The Resource Management Office and the Medical School General Affairs Office will carry out tree pruning and dead tree removal across the Sangpoushan Campus this weekend, May 23-24, in an effort to reduce safety hazards from potential tree falls during typhoon season.

Work Areas

Four zones are scheduled for maintenance: the High-Level Laboratory Building area (crown reduction), the Administration Building area (dead branch removal from golden shower trees), the Kindergarten South Campus vicinity (Bauhinia thinning), and the Medical School New Teaching Center surroundings (pruning and dead tree removal).

Safety Notice

Cranes and other large equipment will be in use during the operation. Members of the campus community are advised to detour around these areas, avoid lingering near work zones, and relocate any parked vehicles in advance.

The property management team also encourages reporting of tree hazards — such as diseases, large dead branches, or leaning trees — to the 24-hour service hotline at 86502661 or via email at xywy@stu.edu.cn.
