Anti-Illegal Finance Short Video Contest Opens Campus Track; STU Students Can Submit by June 14
The 6th “Guard Your Wallet, Protect Your Happiness” anti-illegal finance short video contest has for the first time established a dedicated campus track open to students at all educational levels. Shantou University students are eligible to participate, with submissions due by June 14.
Requirements
Entries should focus on preventing illegal financial activities — such as illegal fundraising, campus loans, and virtual currency scams — and must be 1 to 3 minutes long in MP4 or MOV format. The organizer emphasized that the theme is anti-illegal finance, not anti-fraud.
Content may cover illegal financial schemes involving eldercare, virtual currencies, blockchain, or campus loans, as well as new tactics leveraging social media and apps. Videos must be original; AI-assisted content is allowed but must be clearly labeled.
Awards
The contest features four categories: “Outstanding Youth Works,” “Outstanding Youth Works,” “Best Viral Works,” and “Outstanding Organizations.” STU, as a recommending institution, can nominate up to 2 entries for “Outstanding Youth Works” and 1 for “Best Viral Works” to the organizer for final judging.
How to Submit
Teams must complete two steps:
- Send the video to the Student Financial Aid Management Center at scholarship@stu.edu.cn with the subject line “防范非法金融活动短视频”, including the work title and creators’ names and student IDs
- Upload the entry online via QR code (available on the OA system), selecting “青年优秀作品” as the submission type and “汕头大学” as the affiliated institution
