9 Graduate Innovation Projects Funded Under "Innovative Youth, Benefiting Lives" Initiative

The Graduate School has completed the project selection process for the 2014 “Innovative Youth, Benefiting Lives” graduate innovation and creative practice program. Out of 11 team applications received, 9 projects were approved for funding following internal expert review.

Among the approved projects is “Research on Optimization of Magnetic Resonance Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging Based on Compressed Sensing.” The full list of funded projects is available in the attachment.

Fund Management

According to the notice, project funds are sourced from the provincial special funds for the Innovation-Strengthening Universities Program. Project leaders are required to strictly comply with national financial regulations, standardize fund expenditures, and accelerate execution progress. The relevant governing document is the “Guangdong Provincial Department of Education Notice on Strengthening the Use and Management of Special Funds for the 2013 Higher Education Innovation-Strengthening Engineering Program” (Yue Jiao Cai Han [2014] No. 17).

Ongoing Management

Approved project leaders are expected to organize their teams to begin construction and research work according to their submitted plans. Faculty advisors will provide ongoing guidance, and the university will conduct mid-term inspections and final project evaluations.
