Shantou University Offers Hepatitis B Vaccination to 2014 Freshmen, Following Voluntary and Self-Paid Principles

The Resource Management Office has issued a notice advising 2014 freshmen who have never received the hepatitis B vaccine and test negative for both hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and surface antibody (HBsAb) to consider a three-dose vaccination series. The initiative aims to strengthen campus preventive healthcare and ensure public health safety.

Vaccination follows voluntary and self-paid principles. According to the Shantou City Epidemic Prevention Station’s fee schedule, the imported hepatitis B vaccine costs 118 RMB per dose.

Vaccination Process

Students interested in vaccination must follow these steps:

  1. Undergo blood testing for HBsAg and HBsAb at the laboratory on the second floor of the University Hospital
  2. Register based on test results
  3. Schedule a vaccination appointment
