15 Volunteers Awarded 2013 Firefly Foundation 'Love Companion Home' Winter Break Travel Grant

It is reported that the Firefly Love Foundation, an initiative of Shantou University’s Youth Volunteer Association, completed its review process for the 2013 “Love Companion Home” (爱伴归程) winter break travel grant program. A total of 20 applications were received for the grant, which provides travel subsidies to student volunteers facing financial difficulties during the winter break. After evaluation by the foundation’s board members and a public notification period, 15 students were ultimately selected as recipients.

The “Love Companion Home” project was established to support university student volunteers returning home for the holidays and to encourage ongoing participation in community service and public welfare activities.
